Distributor Azelis strengthens footprint in South America
Azelis expands its presence in Latin America with the acquisition of Localpack, a leading specialty chemicals distributor in Colombia, strengthening its position in the life sciences and industrial chemicals sector in the local market.
Azelis to Acquire Localpack, a specialty chemical distributor based in Colombia. The France-based distribution company in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, announces that it has signed an agreement to acquire Localpack, a specialty chemical distributor active in both the life sciences and industrial chemicals segments in Colombia.
The transaction is expected to close early in the first quarter of 2024 after fulfillment of customary closing conditions. The acquisition represents a strategic expansion of the Group’s footprint, consistent with its growth objectives in the region.
Accelerate the expansion
The Colombian company is one of the leading specialty chemical distributors in the domestic market. The firm’s long-standing relationships with global and regional principles and the technical product expertise that it has built over the years, expand The French company’s lateral value chain across Latin America. This expansion will allow Azelis to accelerate its growth in the region.
